With Doug and Wendy’s birthdays coming up, the family knows just what to get this bickering couple — fencing lessons. Meanwhile, Doug has the perfect gift idea up his sleeve for Wendy — a murder mystery party. But in order to pull it off, he has to keep it a secret from the rest of the family. While the family is out on a canal boat excursion, Doug plays sick so he can stay behind and set up his surprise gift. With the guise of being some of Roger’s “aristocratic friends” in town for a visit, the murder mystery cast joins the family for dinner. It’s a night of “whodunit” as the family is questioned for the murder of maid Wendy. Hilarity ensues when the family finally figures out that this is all fun and games and puts the house on lockdown until the murderer is found. In the end, everyone gets a good laugh.
